The Greene County Foundation is happy to announce another scholarship cycle opening March 21, 2022, for college and nontraditional students. Scholarships to current high school seniors will be announced in May. This year, five scholarships will be offered to college and nontraditional students: The Helen Hunter Scholarship, Kenny and Ruth Richardson Scholarship, Linton Tri-Kappa Scholarship, UHS Alumni Scholarship and the Sarah D. Bailey Nursing Scholarship.

The deadline for completed applications is Monday, May 2 at 4 p.m..
The Helen Hunter Scholarships: The Helen Hunter Scholarships are awarded to students who are Greene County high school graduates or current residents and are attending an Indiana two-or four-year college or university in the fall. Applicants must be enrolled in college as a junior or senior in the upcoming fall semester; enrolled as a graduate student in the upcoming fall semester; or a returning or nontraditional student who attended college but did not complete, or who graduated high school but did not immediately enroll in college, and who is enrolled in college in the upcoming fall semester.
The Kenny and Ruth Richardson Scholarship: The Kenny and Ruth Richardson Scholarship is intended for graduates of Bloomfield High School who are enrolled at an Indiana two-or four-year college or university. Applicants must be entering their junior or senior year of college in the upcoming fall semester.
The Linton Tri-Kappa Scholarship: The Linton Tri-Kappa Scholarship is intended for graduates of Linton-Stockton High School who are enrolled at an Indiana two-or four-year college or university. Applicants must have completed at least two full-time semesters (or 25 credit hours) at an accredited institution and must be enrolled in good academic standing or accepted to an accredited institution of their choice. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate strong participation and/or leadership in a philanthropic organization(s).
The Sarah D. Bailey Nursing Scholarship
The Sarah D. Bailey Nursing Scholarship is intended for residents of Greene County planning to pursue a degree in nursing—diploma in practical nursing (LPN), associate’s (ASN) or bachelor’s (BSN) degree.
The UHS Alumni Scholarship: The UHS Alumni Scholarship is for graduates of Dugger/Union High School or the original Union High School, or must have been a resident of Cass or Jefferson Township in Dugger at the time of graduation. Applicants must be accepted at an accredited college or university at the time of application. Applications can be picked up at the water office in Dugger or on the Foundation’s website.
The Greene County Foundation exists for charitable individuals to leave a lasting legacy to the community they love.
