The Greene County Foundation through your tax deductible donations can be a positive force for good in Greene County.  Donations of any size can be targeted to any one of our existing funds, used to start a new fund, or used at the discretion of the Foundation for those community needs most important.  The Foundation Board is made of community minded individuals from across the county to ensure the Foundation stays abreast of issues throughout the county.  As a donor you can have as much or as little involvement as you wish.

Your donations and the earnings those donations incur are the primary source of funding for the Foundation’s operations and grant-making.

Foundation Legacy Program –  through levels of support, donors can be a member of either the Foundation 500, with a $500 contribution.  Once contributions reach a $10,000 level, donors are a HERO with a separate fund in their name and recognized on the Legacy wall in the Foundation offices.   A $100,000 contribution makes one a LEGEND with a separate fund and a professional family photo will be displayed in the Foundation offices.  These funds are targeted to the Community Support Fund.

Community Support Fund – allows all untargeted dollars of any amount  to be pooled and awarded to local causes based on the community’s most pressing needs.  Grants may be awarded through a competitive grant process,  used to expand or sustain existing organizations and projects, provide matching dollars for other grant opportunities or support governmental projects.

Memorial or Honorary- many times the best gift can be one that continues to give.  A donation in memory or honor of a loved one can do just that.  The individual and/or family of the one being acknowledged will receive notice of your generous gift. These gifts can be targeted for the Community Support Fund or any fund at the Foundation that best honors the loved one.  Look under Funds held to find a fund that best addresses your loved ones passion.
